Liming Soil acidity is critical for plant nutrient absorption. Fertilizers alone will not keep your lawn healthy and beautiful as they do not cure acid soil. Poor lawns are often the result of acidic soil. Lime provides an inexpensive way of balancing the pH of your lawn. This balanced pH will make it easier for the grass to absorb nutrients offered by the fertilizer. Lawn Applications
Our programs are designed with a flexibility that allows applications tailored for your lawn’s needs based on lawn type, location and seasonal weather conditions. Weather’s Role
Moisture from rain or irrigation improves the performance of fertilizer and many of the products we apply. If it should not rain within a few days of an application, we would recommend watering the lawn to improve the efficiency of the application. However applications that include weed control are an exception. If a heavy rainfall should occur immediately following a weed control application, you may need to notify us. Wait 7-10 days and if weeds do not appear to be responding to the treatment, let us know and we will schedule a free service call to remedy the situation. Free Service Calls
As part of our commitment to customers enrolled in our full program, we include free service calls. If you have a question about your lawn or shrubs, or suspect a problem, give us a call to schedule a visit. It will be our pleasure to assist you. |
Lawn Care Programs Five Treatment Program
The five treatment program has been formulated by Barrick & Sons to provide you with full lawn care for the season. Dry granular fertilizers are the basis of our program as they provide the proper amounts of slow-release nitrogen, phosphorous, potassium, sulfur and micronutrients required to maintain a healthy lawn. Controls for crabgrass, weeds, insects and diseases are implemented as needed as part of your integrated pest management program (IPM) for a healthy safe lawn or landscape. Proper maintenance practices can be recommended to help you make the most of your lawn and landscape applications. |
